Starting June 1, children shorter than 4 feet, 9 inches or younger than 8 years old must be properly secured in a car seat or booster seat…Citations come with fines from $25 for the first offense and up to $250 for subsequent violations.

The sad thing about this law is that had it been passed when Christine and I were kids, we’d still be in booster seats in the 6th grade. Not because we were some damn smart 8 year olds but because we were some damn short 12 year olds.
